336/365 Teabreak

Time for a tea break in my new kitchen. We bought the tiles to match the Denby Spice, a pattern now discontinued, and they look fab together! (Thankful for that, seeing as the tiles were purchased more than 12 years ago!!)

310/365 Tea & sympathy

I escaped the mess and mayhem for an hour this afternoon. RK invited me round for a nice cup of tea in her warm clean house before we went up to school to collect our children. The prospect of tea and a listening ear was very welcome, but then a huge box of Thornton's chocolates appeared - bonus!! RK is a very good friend :0) Thanks!

Progress update: The internal walls are now rearranged, the sparks came again to wire the kitchen lights and sockets, the plasterer is booked for Mon-Weds. Oh, by the way, you can look at the dust, but please don't write in it! ;0)

277/365 Autumnal teabreak

This morning was a glorious autumn morning with sunshine and blue skies, and a brisk trade at the cafe at Darley Park. Jodie had an ice cream and I had a cuppa. The sun was warm, the colours were bright, dogs barked at squirrels or at each other, bacon butties and freshly buttered toast were the order of the day over the Sunday papers. As usual we went to the butterfly garden and the swings.

2/365 Dayglow Teabreak

I didn't go anywhere to take pictures today but the sun shone brightly for a while (and very welcome it was too!), streaming into my kitchen. It illuminated some of Jodie's artwork on the wall and I caught the reflections in my cuppa. This is my favourite Denby cup, from the Spice range (now discontinued), and I'm pleased with this shot even though my hubby thinks I've lost the plot already on day 2 of the challenge!! :0)
