328/365 Its a jungle out there

This cool cat having a coffee break has amazing hair - I have never seen animal print in a hairstyle before! Her daughter is a stylist, and this is such a cool look!

93/365 Pashmina fringe

I bought this beautiful pashmina earlier this week - I had to get shoes and a bag for a forthcoming wedding, and couldn't resist this as well, not for the wedding, just for me! I hand-washed it ready for ironing and I was struck by the hues of the beads and how the light struck them when I hung it out in the conservatory. Its cashmere and silk, and I would never be able to justify buying it brand new - I found it at Pearls & Scarlett Dress Agency: vintage, designer, boutique & top-end clothing, bags, shoes & accessories. Fabulous!

I couldn't let today's post pass without showing you these pictures. Jodie had her first (professional) haircut today and was a very good girl for HL, who did a great job of tidying up my efforts at trimming! Now Jodie is growing her hair for pony tail/bunches, it needs a regular trim to keep it tidy. She looks so grown up, chatting away! 71/365 Comic Relief Haircut

Tomorrow is Red Nose Day here, so Oliver decided to have his mop of hair cut off and get his mates to sponsor him to do it! This is the finishing touch being applied - a zigzag from one ear around the back! Many thanks to Steve at Rileys on Kedleston Road for doing the zigzag for free, and to the lady with pink hair for doing a great job with those clippers and giving Oliver another £2 towards his sponsorship kitty. Fantastic! (For those reading this who are clueless about RND, see http://www.rednoseday.com/ for more info!)

62/365 Just a light trim

Actually, that's not strictly true... I asked for a shorter cut than usual as there's a wedding coming up at Easter. This is my hairdresser's home salon. Jodie will be having her first proper haircut here in a few weeks, ready for that wedding! Many thanks to HL for another great cut today :0)
