338/365 Delicious!

My husband Mark is a pretty good cook. Tonight he thoroughly enjoyed cooking real food in our brand new kitchen after several weeks of convenience food, eating out and fish 'n' chips! Compliments to the chef!
Cheers! (Hic!)

337/365 Clean Shadows

The sun cast shadows of the soap dispenser and the washing-up liquid bottle across new drawers and worktop... I make no apologies for featuring my new kitchen more than once - I've waited a long time for it, and I love it!

336/365 Teabreak

Time for a tea break in my new kitchen. We bought the tiles to match the Denby Spice, a pattern now discontinued, and they look fab together! (Thankful for that, seeing as the tiles were purchased more than 12 years ago!!)

334/365 Tiles

Graham the kitchen fitter sorted out the tiles today, 3 sets, one for each run. Tomorrow, he'll tile. Cupboards complete, plinths and knobs on, worktops fixed. Just pipes to box in, tiles to fix and grout, and the worktops to oil.

329/365 Tools of the trade II

The new kitchen is taking shape, power tools abound, some of them enormous, most of them noisy, a new shade of dust permeates the house! Not long now... (See 316/365 for the other tools shot.)

237/365 Casserole Kitchen

My old kitchen reflected in my casserole. Why? Well, I'm having a new kitchen very soon and I've often looked at my fabulously shiny casserole lid and thought how cool the reflections are. But the reflection of the new kitchen will be even more cool - I might do Casserole Kitchen II when the new one's finished. Meanwhile, the casserole gets one more stew cooked in it before it gets packed away safe from corrosive brick dust for the duration!

15/365 Hyacinth Blue

Taken in a friend's kitchen, this hyacinth matches her blue colour scheme beautifully. Low light (again!) so I used the self timer and the camera was on my gorillapod on Joanne's sink. Its a shame I couldn't capture the scent, it was beautiful.

7/365 What's cookin'?

Well I thought I had today's shot in the bag easy peasy this morning, but when I looked at it on the monitor this afternoon it was terrible - too much noise, a very grey dull low sky day here today :0( So, shot 7: take 2 - I was getting our meal ready and here we are. The pan is one of 3 which were wedding gifts back in '94. I like the group of utensils and the shadows they cast to the left, you can see the steamer on the right (beyond the salt!) and the eagle-eyed photogs among you might notice my charger plugged in just above the knob of the pan lid! And the green patch is a colour swatch - we'll need to decide soon on what colour to paint the kitchen, but when we do, that particular section of wall will no longer be there!
